I am a bit confused about the new dining plan. What is the difference between the new plan and the Deluxe dining plan?

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Yesenia!

For my family, visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth includes magical dining experiences, so the addition of a new Dining Plan option is so exciting!

Disney Deluxe Dining Plan and Disney Dining Plan Plus have a few different nuances, so it's best to consider how your family plans to dine before deciding the better fit for you. SO glad that you asked.

What's the same between both is that each Guest receives one Resort-Refillable Drink Mug, as well as 2 snacks/nonalcoholic drinks per night of stay.

What's different can be seen here:

Disney Deluxe Dining Plan: 3 meals per night of stay (any combination of Table-Service Meals and Quick-Service Meals)

*Table-Service Meals at lunch or dinner include 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 1 nonalcoholic beverage (alcoholic beverage for Guests 21 and older), and 1 dessert

Disney Dining Plan Plus: 2 meals per night of stay (any combination of Table-Service Meals and Quick-Service Meals)

*Table-Service Meals at lunch or dinner include 1 entree, 1 nonalcoholic beverage (alcoholic beverage for Guests 21 and older), and 1 dessert

In short, Disney Deluxe Dining Plan includes 3 meals per night of stay, and those that are Table-Service meals include an appetizer. Disney Dining Plan Plus includes 2 meals per night of stay, and Table-Service meals do not include an appetizer

My family typically maps out our time of arrival and departure, then calculates the number of Table-Service and Quick-Service meals we'll need per stay, then decides which of our options enables us to cover the costs of those.

Keep in mind that Signature Dining Restaurants will require 2 Table-Service entitlements, so if you plan to dine at any of those, this may help you determine which Plan is right for you.

No matter what, dining in Walt Disney World is definitely delicious, so check out menus and decide on locations are practically perfect for every Disney day.

Happy Planning, Yesenia! Be sure to send us more questions as you think of them. We love to help!
