Hi Caroline!
Welcome to planDisney.
It's always a pleasure to assist my fellow guests from the UK, especially with a question such as this! I'm so excited that you are planning your special birthday in January - I was due to do exactly the same thing on one of my big birthdays but lockdown happened and we had to postpone it. (I have made up for it since!!).
It's easy to access the Calendar - on the website click on '
Tickets & Parks' and then underneath '
Explore our Parks' just click on '
More Hours'. You can adjust the date (over on the right-hand side you can select "Day View" or "5-Day View") and will then see all the park hours and scheduled entertainment, including fireworks. It looks as if
Happily Ever After is showing at 8.00pm for your special day.
Dining at
California Grill is a great choice as you will have a spectacular view of the fireworks from the 15th floor. Another favourite of mine is
Narcoossee's (at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort). Located on the waterfront of Seven Seas Lagoon, you can step outside on the deck to watch the fireworks, or you can see them very clearly from inside, and they'll dim the lights and pipe the music in. It's really lovely!
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions, and you can
send me a direct question if you wish. We are always happy to help you plan your magical - and very special - holiday to Walt Disney World! Have a very Happy Birthday!
Sue
