I will be traveling to WDW for my daughter's sweet 16. She would like to wear a fancy, semi formal dress one day as a special dress up for her birthday. Where can I take her to do something special in her "princess" dress?

    Hello Tammy,

What a wonderful day you are planning for your daughter's sweet sixteen!  To help her celebrate in style, I immediately thought of the incredible fine dining experience at Victoria & Albert's. This restaurant requests that guests wear proper attire with women wearing a cocktail dress, nice dress, dressy pant suit or a skirt with a blouse.  From your description, I think your daughter's semi formal dress would be at home here. The dining experience is truly lovely with its 7-course tasting menu served with impeccable service and opulence. It is truly an evening that will be filled with so many unforgettable moments. If you'd like to read more about the restaurant, you can do a search for the restaurant at the independent website disneyfoodblog.com.

Another option is to consider any of the Signature Dining Experiences, especially those located at the resorts. I think Citrico's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, the California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Artist Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and Jiko-The Cooking Place at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge are my favorites and locations I would love to visit to celebrate my birthday.

If you'd like to further splurge on your daughter's special day, Disney Floral & Gifts has a variety of birthday gifts with some unique to sweet sixteens. Similarly, you can also order her a speciality birthday cake by calling (407) 827-2253.

Wishing your daughter a magical birthday!  -Kara
