Can we have a birthday party in the Magic Kingdom?

Hi Carole! Welcome to planDisney! It's great to have you stop by with your question!

There are not many things more special than celebrating a birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort! Whether you are there on the exact day or close to it, having your loved ones with you at the Most Magical Place on Earth is the best way to celebrate another year. While every day is a great day to be at the parks, there was something special about celebrating both of my daughter's birthdays at the Magic Kingdom!

Carole, nothing is stopping you from throwing the most epic birthday party at the Magic Kingdom Park! You have an entire theme park at your disposal to celebrate this special day! Although it won't be a traditional set-up where you can rent out a specific space, you can coordinate with the Guests you plan on inviting to all assemble in pre-discussed locations. I would recommend putting together an itinerary for the day, that includes rides, dining, and any other activities. This way everyone knows where to meet up and what the plan is for the day. Depending on the size of the party, you may be able to make an Advanced Dining Reservation for a table service restaurant at the park. You can order a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake beforehand that the server can bring out at the end of the meal to sing Happy Birthday to the special Guest. I would also consider booking the Fireworks Dessert Party at the Magic Kingdom. This will give the group a great vantage point for the nighttime show and also an array of desserts for everyone to enjoy!

One must-do is to grab a birthday pin at the front desk of your resort or Guest Relations at the front of the park upon arrival. Wearing a special Happy Birthday pin from Walt Disney World is one of the best ways to help commemorate your special day. Your day will be filled with Cast Members and Guests greeting you with Happy Birthday and it's quite possible that some pixie dust may come your way as well. I've seen Cast Members do some memorable things to help you celebrate the day!

As a reminder, each Guest that plans to enter the Magic Kingdom Park will need a valid park ticket and park reservation for this day. Park reservations are still required at this time. I would recommend having everyone make their reservations as early as possible to ensure that each Guest can attend.

Carole, I hope you have an amazing time celebrating this special occasion. Best of luck planning the best day ever!

    See ya real soon!
