my birthday is October 6 and I will be 50 years old and would love to celebrate my birthday with Disney birthday my question is if I book my hotel First can I add on package later

    Hi Norma!

Happy soon-to-be birthday to you! We love to celebrate birthdays at the Walt Disney World Resort!

If you want to book a room-only reservation first, you can certainly explore the Special Offers and convert to a vacation package with theme park tickets and, possibly one of the Disney Dining Plans, later. Keep in mind that certain special offers and vacation packages may be limited in availability and resort selection. We always book early and then make modifications, if available, as long as there are no cancellation and/or modification penalties.

We book early to be sure that we can make all of our advanced dining reservations 180-days in advance. With such a big birthday, I recommend making reservations at all of your favorite restaurants. We adore dining at California Grill and 'Ohana during the Happily Ever After fireworks. We also select restaurants that have great window seating - The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom is one of our favorite breakfast locations, Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White has gorgeous views with an early dinner reservation, and Be Our Guest Restaurant has quite the enchanting snow-dusted view in the back of the Grand Ballroom.

Consider scheduling a special experience through the Enchanting Extras Collection. My girls and I love Afternoon Tea at Garden View Tea Room. Located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, this location offers lovely views of the resort grounds and the service is simply soothing. We now consider this one of our special traditions for every trip. And, of course, there must be CAKE. Cake is glorious. If you order one of the celebration cakes from Cakes at Walt Disney World Resort, they can deliver to various locations. Balloons! We must have balloons. Contact a Dream Maker at Disney Floral & Gifts to put together some magic.

Norma, this truly is a dream come true birthday.  Sending you pixie dust to celebrate many more years of continued love and laughter!

    Magic and memories,
