Hi MaKayla!
Thanks for your question. If you're staying at one of the
Walt Disney World resorts, you can ask to add a note to your reservation that you are celebrating your Mom's birthday while at Disney. Oftentimes, while making the reservation, they'll generally ask whether the trip is a special occasion for you or anyone in your family..
It's totally at the resort's discretion, but there's been a few times we've made a note that we were celebrating a birthday or wedding anniversary, and when we get to the room, we'd find a Walt Disney World helium balloon with a short personalized card when we first enter the room. Again, this is at their discretion, so I can't promise if you mention this whether they'll actually
do this or something similar. But it never hurts to mention you're visiting
Walt Disney World to celebrate her birthday. Also, if you plan to hit the
theme parks, stop by Guest Services and let them know it's your Mom's birthday. She will get her very own special birthday pin with her name on it. I've done it and so have my children, and it just makes the day a little extra special. :-)
Now, if you really want to dazzle your Mom, Disney offers
Disney In-Room Celebrations through Disney Floral & Gifts. There are different at-cost package options you can choose, and they're very good at customizing the celebration experience to what you feel would thrill your Mom. Then, you give them a date (and approximate time) when you'd like them to come in and decorate your room during your stay, and they'll do the decorating while Mom and family are out at the parks, or getting a bite to eat.
Thanks again, and tell Mom "Happy Birthday!" from all of us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
