Hello, Hortense! You or someone you know must be celebrating a birthday soon! I wish you a magical celebration onboard your Disney Cruise. Thank you for visiting planDisney with your question as you prepare for your sailing!
It may not be the news you are hoping to hear, but unfortunately,
you may not bring homemade, pre-cooked, perishable foods or open food containers onboard the ship. The only food items that are permitted onboard are nonperishable snack foods in their original factory-sealed packaging. I hope that clears up your question!
I have good news, and that is that you will find no shortage of sweets that you can use in place of a birthday cake onboard the ship. There will be multiple desserts offered at both lunch and dinner. Depending on the ship you'll be sailing on, you may find a shop selling cupcakes and other sweets in which to indulge.
I think it may be too close to your sailing date, but please take note that cakes can be ordered up to seven days before your sail date through the
Gifts and Amenities page on the Disney Cruise Line website. Please consider browsing the gifts and amenities page if you are looking for special ways to commemorate the occasion. Several options would make excellent birthday gifts and can be ordered up to three days before you set sail.
If you haven't already done so, you can share with Disney Cruise Line that you will be
celebrating a birthday while on the ship. You can
call Disney Cruise Line with the news or follow the directions under "My Reservations" in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or on the Disney Cruise Line website to fill out any Special Requests.
Hortense, I hope you have a wonderful Disney Cruise and that the celebration onboard is a very memorable one.
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
