Greetings, Joseph, and welcome to planDisney! First things first – happy early birthday! I can't think of anywhere more perfect to celebrate than the Happiest Place on Earth. Let's talk about timing!
Theme park tickets can typically be purchased, and park reservations can be made, up to six months in advance. You'll select your park reservation as part of the process of
purchasing them through the Disneyland website. You can always
modify your reservation if needed. If you are looking to stay at a Disneyland Resort hotel, bookings have recently become available for stays through December 2026. You can add theme park tickets as you are reserving your room to build a
Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Package.
Joseph, let's make sure your birthday visit is extra special. Here are some ideas to add to your plans:
- When you arrive at the park, pick up a complimentary birthday button. You can usually find them at retail locations, City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A., and Guest Services on Buena Vista Street. It is a fun souvenir, and you may get a "Happy Birthday" or two from Cast Members, Characters, or other Guests who notice you wearing it.
- There are several locations where you can add a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake to your dining reservation when booking in advance. It's certainly a festive way to end a meal! Character Dining is another fun option.
- Another way to make the most of your trip is to purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass. It grants you access to the Lightning Lane entrance at several attractions, leading to shorter queues. There are other benefits, too, like unlimited digital downloads of PhotoPass photos.
Joseph, on behalf of all of us at planDisney, I'd like to again wish you a happy early birthday. I hope your celebratory trip is filled with the Disney magic we all know and love. Please reach out if you think of any other questions between now and April. We’re here to help!
Your pal,
Kriss
