Ahoy, Steven! Welcome to planDisney.
My son is thrilled when our spring break plans include a
Disney Cruise, and I'm sure you'll find it convenient that you can embark on an exciting voyage close to home. Despite Scar playing the villain in Disney's "The Lion King," his advice to "be prepared" is spot on! Making sure all your documents are in shipshape order for travel is a wise move.
For closed-loop sailings, where your journey starts and ends at the same U.S. port,
you can travel with an original or copy of a state-issued birth certificate. Guests over the age of 15 need to present a government-issued photo ID, but your 13-year-old can leave their school ID at home. You can mix citizenship documentation. For example, you can use a passport for identification and your child their birth certificate.
As you prepare for your voyage, don’t forget to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. From the comfort of your home, you can explore your ship, reserve cruise activities, and countdown to your vacation hakuna matata style (it means no worries!). Once you’re on board, you can quickly access the daily activities, rotational dining details, and entertainment schedules. It’s your guide to the magic!
Wishing you a roaring good time! If there is anything else we can help you with, please ask. Have a safe trip, and enjoy every moment of your unforgettable cruise!
SEAS the adventure!
