Welcome back to planDisney, Deborah! Having the correct
citizenship documentation is a very important part of the cruising process, so I'm glad you sought help with your question.
I
chatted with a Disney Cruise Line representative who shared there is nothing that requires a parent or guardian's name to be on the birth certificate. The original or copy of the state-issued birth certificate and a physical Government-issued photo ID is required for boarding the ship. Digital/mobile state-issued IDs are not acceptable to sail. Guests 15 years of age and younger can also present the original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate, but a Government-issued photo ID is not needed.
There are some exciting new things happening at Disney Cruise Line. The
summer 2025 itineraries were released not so long ago. These itineraries include ones sailing across
Alaska,
Europe, and the
Caribbean.
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point will be open to Guests on select sailings from Florida starting this summer. The new
Disney Treasure will be setting sail in December. I can't wait to experience these for myself!
As you continue to plan your magical vacation, sail back to see us at
planDisney if you have any other questions.
Adventure is out there!
