Had a Birnbaum's planning book(quite old), and it said what you should be doing to plan at 1yr, 9 mo, 6 mo, etc until you leave for your trip. Is there a site/location on this site where I can get the same planner? Very helpful but don't know where book is

    Hi Jordan,

I recommend that you visit the In-Depth Planning section on the Disney World website as it is a great place to start. Also, be sure to utilize the "My Disney Experience" tool which is located in the upper right hand corner on the Disney World website.

I know the page that you are talking about in the Birnbaum's Guide. In fact, I just located my old book from 2007 to look over it for you. Honestly, their most important tip is the same one that I give to people:  Be sure to make your Advanced Dining Reservations at 180 days prior to your arrival. When plotting out your itinerary on paper, you'll want to check the individual park calendars for hours. In addition, certain shows like Fantasmic are only offered on select nights, so make that your Hollywood Studios day, etc.

The My Disney Experience tool will come in really handy.

Wishing you a wonderful vacation. Please let me know if I can assist you further,
