Hi there, Alison!
Thanks for swimming on over to planDisney with your question! My family has recently embraced the tradition of enjoying a day at our
Disney Resorts Collection hotel during our vacations to The Most Magical Place on Earth, so I love that you are hoping to maximize the magic at your resort hotel.
I have stayed at both
Disney's All-Star Music Resort and
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, so I am happy to provide some insight into what you can expect from the pools at both resort hotels. All-Star Music features
two pools - a large main pool and a smaller leisure pool. The main pool features a Three Caballeros fountain in the middle that attracts groups of small children and adults alike. Parents enjoy the unobstructed view of the entire pool as it allows them to easily maintain a visual of their children. Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside boasts
a large pool with more of an abstract shape scattered with bridges and a waterslide. While the curvy nature of the pool can block sightlines, it creates several relaxing nooks surrounding the pool. Guests at Port Orleans - Riverside also have access to five leisure pools around the resort hotel in addition to the
Mardi Gras themed pool at neighboring Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. My husband is a Louisiana native, so he's a bit partial to this one.
I just spoke to a helpful Cast Member who confirmed that the main pool at Port Orleans - Riverside is a bit larger but not by much. In making your decision, I suggest taking a peek at the pool photos online to decide what will work best for your travel party. If size is the most important factor, I wanted to share that
The Big Blue Pool at Disney's Art of Animation Resort is the largest on Walt Disney World Resort Property.
Whichever resort hotel you choose, you won't regret staying in the middle of the magic, Alison. Feel free to
drop back by if any additional questions arise.
Cheers to 2024,
Lizzie
