We are big WDW travelers, but want to go to DL again (went in 2003 last). We are a family of 5 with 3 adult children (one 20 year old and 23 year old twins). How long do you think we should spend at DL?

    Hi there Jessica,

This is actually a very common question, especially from Walt Disney World veterans who are planning to visit Disneyland!  As you already know from your last visit, Disneyland is indeed much smaller than Disney World in actual size... BUT... there is now more to see and do at the Disneyland Resort than EVER before, and you won't want to miss out on any of the exciting new offerings.  This past year marked the end of a MAJOR renovation and expansion project which made it necessary to spend a longer amount of time at the resort to really experience everything.

Disneyland is surely a multi-day destination and I definitely recommend spending at least days to really take advantage of all of the magic!  This way you can devote at least a full day to each theme park, spend one day to relaxing around your resort and exploring the Disneyland Hotels and Downtown Disney, and another day or two to revisit your favorite attractions in each park!  You're not gonna wanna miss the all new Cars Land and Buena Vista Street areas of California Adventure in addition to all of the fabulous attractions, shows and parades offered at Disneyland Park!

Everything is located really close together at Disneyland, so I highly suggest adding the Park Hopper option to your park tickets so you have the flexibility of bouncing between the parks as you see fit!

As someone who frequents both WDW and Disneyland, I am here and ready to help you plan this magical visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!  Be sure to stop back by to ask me any questions that may arise!
