We are big Star Wars fans and looking at reservations for Savi's Workshop. How many family members can go with only one making a light saber?

Rising Moons Christina! Thanks for dropping by planDisney about your traveler making their own lightsaber. My family adores all the Star Wars movies and shows. I can definitely help your family feel the power of the force.

When visiting Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge I always recommend traveling in a group as there are usually scoundrels and shady characters. The Black Spire Outpost has a group called the "Gatherers," these folks will usher you into a workshop. You must always work hard to keep the location a secret because those First Order Stormtroopers are always walking around looking for Resistance sympathizers. Savi's Workshop is an establishment where builders and one observer will build a saber from hilt to crystal during your visit. The Gatherers will help you select a kyber crystal that fits one of four hilt themes that the force guides you towards. But it is very secretive and unfortunately, the whole family visiting the shop would draw a crowd. Once you are done raising your lightsaber to the spires you will have a case to carry your saber out of Disney's Hollywood Studios without being chased by Kylo Ren.

Be sure before you arrive on planet to secure a spot with Savi for your builder ahead of time. Sometimes the Gatherers get too many requests and have to make sure the First Order is not on their trail. Your builder has to be at least 5 years old and needs to have at least one in the party 14 years of age or older. And only one saber is made at a time. After you drain all of your energy you can visit Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo for a recharge. Chef Strano "Cookie" Tuggs will whip you up some galactic goodies with fresh ingredients being delivered daily.

I hope this information is helpful in your mission to have one of your travel party be a protector of the galaxy. Stop back by planDisney for any other planning tips for Batuu or any other planets you might visit in between. Til the Spire!

And may the force be with you,

    Jeremy A.
