Hi Moms! We have a big group going to Disney (5 families) and want to use Mobile Ordering. I have everyone set up on MDE with dining plan attached. My question is, will each family be able to order their family’s food through MDE?

    Hi Kayla!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I returned from my own 'Best Mom Friends Forever' Walt Disney World Resort vacation two weeks ago. There were four of us, no husbands, and all of our collective kids. We had the BEST time, and your group is going to have a blast too!

Yes, each family can use the Mobile Ordering feature at over 20 Quick Service dining locations across Disney's four theme parks and at Disney Springs to order food for just their family. These meals can be charged to the individual credit cards that each family puts on file at check-in, or can count against any Disney Dining Plan entitlements that each family or your total group may have.

If each family has their own Walt Disney World Resort reservation number, as in you all booked individual Disney Resort Hotel rooms and packages, then everything will be separate and family A's use of their Disney Dining Plan entitlements will have no impact on the dining entitlements of the other four families. However, if your whole group is in one reservation number and is staying in one condo or villa, then all of your dining plan entitlements may be all pooled together in one collective group. In this case, each family will still be able to utilize Mobile Ordering, but your group will have to keep track of which family has spent how many of their allotted entitlements. The good news is that the My Disney Experience App makes it super easy to track who has used what, and the Front Desk of your Disney Resort Hotel can also provide a breakdown.

Bonus Tip: Check out Disney's Rider Switch Service, which allows for those who stayed behind with the littles to have a turn too!

We'll See You Real Soon, Kayla!
