Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michael!
I stayed at
Disney’s Pop Century Resort with a group of my best friends last fall, and we had
such an amazing time. The newly refurbished rooms are so nice, with great storage space, lots of charging outlets, and a sleek and modern feel.
Michael, while there is a dorm-sized refrigerator in the Guest rooms at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, there is no freezer inside the fridge. Should you need ice, there are ice machines located on each floor of each building, usually near the elevator. I had a broken foot on that visit, and needed to ice and elevate, and I found that bringing gallon-sized resealable bags worked really well. Additionally, if you’re hoping to bring cold items into the theme parks in a cooler, please check the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules to ensure your cooler is within the approved size limits, and note that loose ice is prohibited, so you’ll need to put ice in resealable bags inside your cooler. Also, note that complimentary ice water is available at any
Quick-Service dining location.
Enjoy your stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort! One of my favorite things about staying at this resort is that
Everything POP Shopping & Dining, the resort’s food court, offers my favorite Disney treat: the iconic Dole Whip! I loved knowing that I was just steps away from that creamy, delicious pineapple soft serve treat whenever I was at my resort – it’s really THAT good.
Have so much fun with your planning, and please come back and see us if you have any further questions. As you count down, make sure to read the
Disney Parks Blog – not only will you be in-the-know when it comes to the latest news, but you’ll get updates on the most delicious food, drink, and treats available so you can add them to your to-taste list! I can tell you, our resort room refrigerator ALWAYS contains half a cupcake and a variety of sweet treats and snack items – that’s what vacation’s all about, right?
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
