Welcome to planDisney, Emily!
“Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.” Like you, I'm a big fan of Winnie the Pooh and his friends. I'm so excited that some of the character experiences are coming back to Walt Disney World. It's just not the same when you can't hug Mickey and his pals.
Traditional character greetings, including hugs and table-touch character dining, will return in a phased approach beginning April 18. As time goes on, more experiences will become available. Hopefully, by the time you visit, everything will be back to normal.
There are a couple of places in Magic Kingdom Park where you can meet Pooh Bear and his friends. If you head to Fantasyland, there's a shady place deep in the Hundred-Acre Wood where you can
meet Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. You can then take an enchanting ride on
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Another option is to book a meal at
The Crystal Palace. In the words of Pooh Bear, "What could be more important than a little something to eat?" Hopefully, our friends from the Hundred-Acre Wood will be back for character dining at this location by the time you visit. You might even meet my favorite character, Eeyore!
I still remember the first time my family visited Walt Disney World Resort. We got some wonderful pictures with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore. These are memories I'll cherish forever! And I'm sure you will make some similar memories too, Emily.
Have a magical time! Please don't hesitate to stop by
planDisney again in the build-up to your trip if you have any questions.
Mike
