Big fan of the Mom's Panel. Check it every day. I'll be visting WDW 2/13-2/19. on 2/17 want to hit MK for early EMH then go to HS for a 4:35 ADR at Brown Derby. What would be the best way to travel from MK to HS using Disney Transportation?

    Hi Anthony,

There are so many different ways to get to Hollywood Studios from Magic Kingdom, but they all seem to take about the same amount of time (approximately 40 minutes).  It really comes down to how you like to travel.

I recommend walking to the Contemporary and then catching a bus to the park from there.  You could take the monorail to the Contemporary, but then you would have to walk down the escalators and outside the building to get to the bus anyway, plus spend time waiting in line for the monorail.

You could also take a bus to one of the Boardwalk Resorts and then take a boat (or walk) to Hollywood Studios.  The walk is about 3/4 of a mile.  Taking the boat is a relaxing and different mode of transportation.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
