    Are there any big events planned for the 50th anniversary of carousel of progress

    Welcome to planDisney, Graham Lucinda! I'm excited to see your question today about one of the most iconic attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort - Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress! This attraction, which opened in Magic Kingdom Park in 1975, connects visitors to the idea of progress and the evolution of technology over four generations. But more than that, it truly connects us to Walt Disney and his ideas about following one's dreams with mind and heart to make them reality - that's the true spirit of Disney!

    Graham Lucinda, at this time, there hasn't been any announcement of special events or other plans to celebrate the attraction in 2025. While it will be the 50th anniversary of its relocation to Magic Kingdom, the Carousel of Progress itself dates back to the 1964-1965 Worlds Fair before its first relocation to Disneyland Park. I'd recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any updates about events, merchandise offerings, or other ways that might evolve to celebrate this beloved attraction. Of course, you can always launch your own celebration! I'm sure there will be many other fans of the attraction visiting on January 15, 2025 to honor the classic American family we've all come to know and love over the past 50 years as a staple at the Walt Disney World Resort!
