Is there a big difference in standard rooms vs. preferred rooms at Disney All-Star Music Resort? We can save $300 by booking a standard room.

    Hi Renee!

This is a great question. I have stayed at the All Star Music Value Resort and I absolutely loved it! The only difference between the preferred room and a regular or standard room at at the Value Resorts in Walt Disney World is location, location, location--just like in real estate! The preferred rooms are closer in proximity to the Food Court, the Main Building, and the Disney Transportation Buses. A standard room can be as far away as a 5-10 min walk from the the Food Court, the Main Building, and the Disney Transportation Buses depending on where your room is. Everything else about these two room categories are the same including the size, room layout, and amenities. So the decision to spend the extra money for a preferred room or not is entirely up to you. I tend not to get the preferred rooms because of the extra cost and I do not mind the little extra walk to my room.  Keep in mind that when you check in you can request that your room be close to transportation which will get you closer to the Main Building without having a preferred room if Disney is able to honor your request.

I hope you have a very magical vacation on your next visit to Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
