Hiya, Maeve! It's a treat to see you again at planDisney - it's so fun when our pals come back for a return visit. Our family is admittedly a little dessert-obsessed, and we love to enjoy some sweet treats anytime we visit
Walt Disney World Resort, so your question is really speaking to me! Tie a napkin 'round your neck,
cherie, and let's get right into the decorating details.
One of our favorite spots for a Disney dessert is
Amorette's Patisserie, located at
Disney Springs. They have a rotating menu of seasonal treats, as well as signature pastries, sandwiches, and drinks. My oldest is a macaron aficionado and says that these are her favorites at Walt Disney World! Amorette's offers a very cool
Cake Decorating Experience for Guests before the shop opens for the day and I highly recommend it!
During this 90-minute class, you will learn how to make one of the adorable Character Dome Cakes (Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse, depending on the day of the week) that are displayed in the shop windows. You can bring a friend along for the experience, and either work as a decorating tag team, or add a second cake for them to decorate (currently $50 plus tax for the add-on cake, subject to change).
Maeve, the cake is the same one that you would see on display in the store and serves between 8-10 people. The folks at Amorette's do a great job packaging up the cake securely so you can travel with it - they will even hang onto it for you during the day if you plan to explore Disney Springs before heading back to your hotel or home. You can also book your experience earlier in your trip and enjoy the cake throughout your stay!
I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes! Your well-earned vacation will be here before you know it, and I hope it is full of sweet surprises for you and your family. Thanks so much for visiting us again at planDisney, and please come back anytime if we can help with other questions.
See Ya Real Soon!
