My BFF(20) will come on her 1st trip w us in June I want to make an ADR for us but she is a picky eater so Im having trouble picking a place I wanted something that isnt too much $ (we r college students after all) maybe ~$30 per person open 2 B L or D Thx

    Hi Courtney,

Planning special dining is always a little trickier with a picky eater, but I'm happy to suggest some ideas for nice places that will fit your friend's taste and your budget.

I often recommend one of the buffets, such as Boma or Cape May Cafe, when there are a range of tastes, but they tend to run more like $40 per person. They are all you can eat and include a non-alcoholic beverage and dessert, but that still may be more than you can spend. You might want to look at Trail's End at Fort Wildersness as a slightly less expensive buffet. The fried chicken is to die for!

Here are a few of my favorite moderate restaurants, both for the food and the atmosphere, and I think you would find something for everyone at any of these spots.

-- Kona Cafe in the Polynesian resort
-- The Plaza at Magic Kingdom
-- Rose and Crown at Epcot
    -- Via Napoli at Epcot
-- '50s Prime Time Cafe at Hollywood Studios
-- Grand Floridian Cafe in the Grand Floridian resort
-- Paradiso 37 at Downtown Disney

Please know, too, that the Walt Disney World restaurants generally are great about accommodating special requests, so your friend can ask for an adult portion of a child's meal, for example, or ask that items she doesn't like be left off her plate.

One of my favorite resources for looking at menus and prices throughout the Walt Disney World resort is the independent website AllEars.net. That might be helpful for you as well.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Please let me know if I can provide any more details about any of these restaurants or help you with other questions as you plan your visit.

    Enjoy!
