Hi Angi,
Welcome back to planDisney! As a self-proclaimed Disney foodie, one of my favorite parts about vacationing at
Walt Disney World Resort is diving fork-first into all the incredible
dining experiences. On our most recent trip this past June, that love for delicious food and crafty cocktails took me to the moon and back, literally, with my first visit to
Space 220 at EPCOT. From the moment you board the space elevator until you return to Earth, your meal is more than just food... It’s a journey.
To launch right into your question, lunch at
Space 220 is a pre-fixed experience that includes two courses: your “Lift-Off” (which is your appetizer) and a “Star Course” (your entrée). Non-alcoholic beverages like soft drinks or iced tea are typically included in the price of the meal. So no, you don’t have to purchase a cocktail to enjoy the full experience, but if you’re up for something a little more adventurous, there are some truly stellar options.
I ordered the Black Hole Fashioned with my meal, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. It was smooth, bold, and had a creative twist that felt perfectly on-theme. There’s also an Amber Lager on draft that was crafted specifically for Space 220. It had a little extra Disney flair and paired perfectly with the Star Course options.
I hope this answers your question, Angi. If you’re looking for more recommendations,
I’ve got plenty. For what it’s worth, the Blue Moon Cauliflower and Interstellar Steak & Fries were... out of this world.
Safe travels to infinity and beyond,
Brent
