Is there a better time to go to a character breakfast that maybe isn't too crowded?? Our trip is planned for Oct 10

    Hi Donna!

I have had very good experiences at character breakfasts when I book one of the very first reservations of the day. Some of the restaurants begin serving as early as 7:00 am (Chef Mickey's), and if you don't have a problem waking up at the crack of dawn to make it to such an early seating it really does pay off. I would venture to say that the most crowded time is in the middle of service at most places and dies off again as you get closer to lunchtime.

If you will be dining at one of the restaurants that doesn't serve lunch - again Chef Mickey's comes to mind - a late breakfast seating is also a good bet. We once had a 10:45 am seating at Chef Mickey's and by the time we had finished there were only two other families left in the entire restaurant. Mickey and Goofy even came back out for a few minutes and we practically had them all to ourselves! This usually doesn't work when lunch is being served as sometimes it is a seamless transition between breakfast and lunch with no down time in between.

When it comes to booking character breakfasts in the parks I always aim for one of the first seatings of the day,a nd make sure that the park we'll be at doesn't have morning extra magic hours that day. You will get early entry to the park which will give you the chance to get some great photos without all the crowds, and usually you will be finished with your meal just as the park is opening so you can get started with your touring plan.

I hope this helps! Have fun planning your trip!
