Which is better Port Orlenas Riverside or French Quarters? We are a family of 6 plus 1 grandparent. We will get 2 rooms connection. Children will be 2, 4, 9 & 10 in May 2012 when we travel. We are on a budget. Thanks for your help.

    Hello Gigi,

Don't you love when you're faced with a decision that's a win-win no matter what? Both Port Orleans - Riverside and Port Orleans - French Quarter are fantastic Resorts. But I have to admit, Port Orleans - French Quarter (POFQ) is my favorite Moderate Resort.

My family has stayed there several times. It's a smaller Resort so navigating it with children is easy. No matter what building you're assigned, I always feel as though you're close to the lobby, food court, and pool. And speaking of pools, your kids are sure to love Scales, the Serpent Slide.

One other reason why to stay at POFQ: all of the rooms have been recently renovated to include queen sized beds and granite countertops in the baths. It's gorgeous.

Plus, it's Mardi Gras every day. What's not to love?

Hope this helps with your decision. Good luck!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
