what if better off financially speaking getting the Disney Dining Plan or the discount offered by Tables in Wondeland (i am a disney annual passholder) we are planning in staying at a WDW hotel

    Hello Rosana,

I'm a big fan of the Disney Dining Plan (DDP), but that may be because I am not eligible for a Tables in Wonderland (TIW) membership.

Annual Passholders and Florida residents can get great deals on dining with TIW. Members get a 20% discount off meals at participating restaurants. TIW also often hosts invitation-only special events.

On the DDP, with your table and quick service meals, you get an entree, a dessert and a non-alcoholic drink. I have a sweet tooth so I love being able to order creme brulee or cheesecake. But some days, I wish I could start my dinner with a glass of wine and crab cakes. These would not be included on the DDP, and the costs would be added to my bill.

With TIW, I saw an unofficial list of participating restaurants on AllEars.net. My family eats three square meals a day - no matter if we're home or on vacation. When at Disney, I don't like to spend each meal at a sit-down restaurant so I rely on the many quick service restaurants scattered throughout the property. With TIW, the focus is primarily on table service dining.

So to answer your question, it really depends on how you and your family dine when on vacation. If you like to have a cocktail with dinner each night or if you enjoy Disney's Signature Dining, TIW may be best for you. If you enjoy grabbing a quick bite to eat and also love your desserts, DDP may be your best bet.

    Hope this helps! Happy dining!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
