Which would be better to maximize rides/activitieat a park? Go to a park that doesn't have Extra Magic Hours & may be less crowded, or go to a park which has Extra Magic Hours (but may be more crowded b/c of the EMH's)? Hope you understand my ?...Thank

Hi Alyssa! I do understand your question and it is always one we get from many guests.  There isn't a perfect or right answer to it making it even more frustrating as each day is so different and each visit is different from the last.

There is no question that the Extra Magic Hours help cut down on the lines for the very popular attractions.  But it means you have to be prepared to head out early in the morning or stay late at night.  My family has found that the three extra evening hours are the best to get in a lot of attractions versus the one hour early in the morning.

If you can go early to a park that has evening Extra Magic Hours and hit the rides for the first couple of hours and then spend the middle of the day in Downtown Disney or back at the resort taking a nap then you can head back to that park later for the Extra Magic Hours when the park closes.  This makes for a long day but with good planning and some rest time it can be done.

Your question is one of the main reasons my family buys the Park Hopper options with the tickets.  We can visit a park that has normal hours during the day and then head to the park with the Extra Magic Hours during that time when the crowds will be at a minimum.  It allows you to have flexibility but it also adds to the budget.

Good luck...it is a bit of a guessing game when it comes to crowds!
