Welcome to planDisney, Fernanda!
Your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is only a day away. How exciting! It sounds as if you have quite an epic adventure planned.
Park Hopping at The Most Magical Place on Earth is a great way to add a little extra magic to your day. Here's all you need to know about parking and Park Hopping during your visit.
When you arrive at
Disney's Animal Kingdom you are welcome to park and leave your car there for the day as you go off to explore other parks. But there are a few
very important things to keep in mind! When Park Hopping, complimentary busing is available between parks, so you can get to
Disney's Hollywood Studios from Disney's Animal Kingdom with ease. Official Park Hopping hours are currently 2 PM to each park's closing time for the day. Buses between parks traditionally start running 45 minutes before that 2 PM hopping window. Bus times are not posted but they arrive about every 20 minutes. Buses travel between parks until one hour after the park closes. This means parking at Hollywood Studios first thing and heading to Animal Kingdom would not be an option when using Disney transportation. And here is another really essential thing to know. Disney's Animal Kingdom closes earlier than any of the other theme parks. If Animal Kingdom closes at 7 PM, the buses will stop running at 8 PM. This could mean you cut your time at Disney's Hollywood Studios short. If you are not planning on staying at Hollywood Studios until the park closes, this is not an issue. But if you are hoping to stay late you could find yourself without a ride back. You would need to utilize a ride-share service or taxi in this situation.
If you know you will be staying until park close, and want the ability to leave at your convenience, I suggest driving your car when you head to Hollywood Studios from Animal Kingdom.
You will not pay an additional parking fee for the day, and you can leave when you are ready, rather than when a bus schedule allows.
I hope your upcoming visit is memorable and magical!
We'll see ya real soon!
