Which is better for the holidays, Disneyland or Disney World? I have never been to Disneyland but I am thinking it could be a shorter trip, so less days out of school (going between Thanksgiving and Christmas), but would lack the grandeur of WDW.

    Hello Lori!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It is a pleasure to answer your question.

I believe there is not a better location. It is almost impossible to choose between the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort for any time of the year. Each destination prepares a memorable celebration for the season, and each is unique. I love how you have very distinct opportunities. At the Walt Disney World Resort my favorite activities are Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the Candlelight Processional. At Disneyland Resort my special events are the amazing nighttime spectacular World of Color – Season of Light and the Festive Foods Marketplace, where you can enjoy multicultural holiday eats.

I believe that if you have never been to Disneyland Resort this would be the perfect opportunity. As you have mentioned, it will be better for your family since your children won’t be away from school for too many days. You would need a longer visit to enjoy all attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort, so maybe you can plan a holiday visit with more days in the future.

I hope this helps you while planning. I hope you have a magical holiday visit.

    Best Disney wishes,
    Thiana
