which is the better way to go. I will solely be relying on Disney transportation should I make all my meals with reservations or some of them or none of them I am afraid of beyond my control being late to a reservation or is walk ins better late april

    Hi Sheri,

Without hesitation, I would make the reservations.  When we visit WDW, we rely 100% on Disney transportation and rarely have problems with making the times of reservations. But, we do plan our days around where our reservations are for the day to ensure that our transportation time is shorter. What I do sometimes find is that we change our plans and thus our reservations, so I keep the number for Disney Dining (407-WDW-DINE) in my phone as well as our confirmation numbers so I can call and cancel our reservations.

It is really reassuring knowing that at some point in our day we know we have a reservation where we can all sit down together, relax & rest, and have a lovely meal.  When we opt for counter service, it feels more rushed and someone is often having to stand in line (sometimes some very long lines).

If you don't make reservations, know that Guest Relations at the parks (resorts, too) can help you make last minute ones.  You can simply say something like I'm looking for a reservation for 4 at 5:00 pm, and a cast member will let you know what restaurants have openings -- but you may find your choices quite limited regardless of when you visit.

If you'd like some help with the restaurants, we are glad to help with more questions.  You may also enjoy visiting the website www.disneyfoodblog.com as well as clicking here to visit the dining page at the Walt Disney World website.
