Would it be better to drive my car to any of the 4 parks than to ride the bus? As far as how far to walk to the entrance.

    Hi Linda,

For my family, using the complimentary Walt Disney World transportation is a key piece of our relaxing vacation. We love parking our car and leaving the driving to someone else.

This is especially true when we are headed to Magic Kingdom. There, the parking lot is separated from the theme park by Seven Seas Lagoon, so you must take a ferry or the monorail from the Transportation and Ticket Center to reach the entrance. The buses drop guests adjacent to the entrance and we think it's a faster and simpler way to get to the destination.

At the other parks, it is possible and sometimes easy to walk from your car to the front gates n a few minutes. Or you can catch a tram across the lot to the entrance. Again, our preference is to take the bus and avoid the car-tram transfer.

Part of the reason we like to use the transportation system is that we often park-hop or end our day at Disney Springs. We think it's simpler to use the buses, boats and monorails rather than continue to move our car from place to place.

I know other friends and fellow panelists who prefer to drive everywhere when they are at Walt Disney World, so it really is about what you find most appealing for your family.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Linda. Please let us know if you have any more questions about your upcoming vacation. We're here to help in any way we can. Enjoy!
