    Which is better & more convenient for us to celebrate my son's 1st bday? Chef Mickeys or the Crystal Palace? We're going to Magic Kingdom on his bday & i just found out that Chef Mickeys is not inside Magic Kingdom.

    What a fun celebration you have planned for your son's first birthday!  Both The Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's are wonderful choices for your family to make many unforgettable memories.
     With The Crystal Palace being located within the Magic Kingdom, it is the most convenient to visit.  If your son loves Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends, it would be a great match.  However, if he likes Mickey and his friends more, it is very simple to go to Chef Mickey's and could be a nice way to take a break in your day.  With the restaurant located inside Disney's Contemporary Resort, you can get there by hopping on the resort monorail that is located just outside the Magic Kingdom. The resort is the first stop.  When you are finished dining, you can get right back on the monorail to return to the Magic Kingdom (it will make a few other stops).  You can also walk between the resort and the park if you'd like. 

    If you are still undecided, I did notice that there is a collection of videos of both restaurants on YouTube that might be helpful to take a peek at to give you a better idea of what your experience would be like.  Also, did you know you can order a birthday cake for your son?  A generic one is available without notice; just alert your server that you'd like one.  You can also order a custom cake beforehand (at least 48 hours) by calling (407) 827-2253.
