Would we have a better chance of a "magical" upgrade if we check in online, or once we arrive at the resort? We are staying at the GF in September.

Hi ya, Faith! I've heard of upgrades happening with online check in as well as the old fashioned way. The best advice I can offer up is to specify any special room requests on your reservation and check to see if it was able to be granted when you check in or pick up your welcome packet.

That being said, I've seen very prompt check in service / minimal lines for check in at the Grand Floridian, so if you're erring on the side of caution and prefer to do everything in person, I don't think you'd be sacrificing too much time to see how it all pans out.
