    Is it better to buy Mouse ears at the parks or to buy them prior to the trip and bring them along? Also we are going to be in the Parks on the Fourth of July, any special things that usually take place for that?

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to plan a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort for the Fourth of July!

    When deciding whether or not to buy Mickey or Minnie ears before arrival or in the park, I typically consider price, packing and occasion. If I can purchase them online or elsewhere for less money (including shipping), then I will purchase beforehand. But, we also have experienced some trouble packing them without them getting slightly damaged during travel. For that reason, more recently, I have just purchased them at the resort hotel. If you want to check out your options prior to travel, just go to Shop Disney Parks online. Finally, consider whether or not you are celebrating a special occasion. If so, you may want to pre-order the ears to start celebrating early!

    During your visit, there should be several ways to commemorate the holiday. The Disney Parks Blog has chronicled these events in the past so I am sending a few past articles. Celebrating the Fourth of July Across Walt Disney World Resort - the fireworks are always spectacular! You can see some of the highlights from This Week in Disney Parks Photos: Fireworks Shine on the Fourth of July. Another one of my favorite activities is to hear the Voices of Liberty in Epcot. They perform in the American Pavilion rotunda and their vocal performances are inspiring. 

    Cait, my final suggestion is to make a dining reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern to enjoy the restaurant's colonial charm!
