Dear Sharon,
Thanks for submitting your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
The answer to whether you should bring your own stroller or pay for a
stroller rental at the Happiest Place on Earth really depends on your pre-arrival plans.
For example, if you're staying at a
Good Neighbor Hotel or a
Disneyland Resort Hotel and plan on walking to the Parks, it may be convenient for you to bring your own stroller so your little ones don't get tired walking from the hotel to the Parks. Once you arrive, there are stroller access doors at the turnstiles to make the process of entering the Parks easy and convenient.
Now, if you're driving to the Parks and take a tram ride from the Mickey & Friends Parking Lot, your walk will be rather short and a stroller rental inside the
Disneyland Park or the
Disney California Adventure Park would make a lot of sense.
A few other things to consider: 1) Park strollers are very sturdy and easy to push; 2) You can identify your stroller with a name tag given to you at the stroller rental office; 3) If you have a Park Hopper Ticket you can take your rented stroller to either Park throughout the rental period.
On the other hand, if you bring your own stroller: 1) You don't have to wait in line to pick-up or drop-off the stroller; 2) Your kids are already familiar with their own stroller; 3) You can exit the Parks and head to the Downtown Disney District at any time (stroller rentals are not allowed in the Downtown Disney District).
I hope this helps.
Have fun!
