Hello Wayfinder Sarah! I’m pleased to see that you have found your way to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! As a mom of two myself, I depend on a double stroller! I have both brought my own stroller from home and have rented one. I found that either way, a stroller lessens my load. I’ll share with you some of my favorite benefits of both options!
The
stroller rental in the parks is so convenient! We pack our bag for the day and head to the parks. My 5-year old usually will walk in while I baby wear my 2-year old, which works perfectly for us. Renting a stroller in the parks also makes the
bus transportation to the parks much simpler because we don’t have to fold down a stroller before boarding. We just hop right on and after a few minutes we’re there! I find that renting a stroller works best for our shorter trips.
When my family visits for a week or longer, we always bring our stroller from home. We like to open and close the parks which means our Mousekeeters usually need a midday nap. Rather than leave the parks, we just recline our stroller into the flat back position it is able to make which is perfect! We also enjoy having our own stroller while leaving the parks in the evening because we are able to keep them sleeping in the stroller right up until the bus arrives to take us back to our
Disney Resort Hotel!
I also tend to overpack so it's nice to stuff the pockets of our personal stroller with any necessities we may need. I like to bring hand sanitizing wipes, metal straws, and a change of clothes for both of my Mouseketeers. Our raincoats are also able to stay compact enough at the bottom of our stroller when we fold it down, so it’s less for us to have to carry!
No matter what you choose to do, I highly recommend a stroller! Your day will be
filled with Magic and your little ones will need a place to rest their feet.
I can’t wait to see how far you’ll go!
