What are the best/not to miss things to do at Animal Kingdom Lodge? We are going in July (me, husband, boy 1yr, boy 9yrs). We will spend 2 days at parks and 3 days at the hotel. Thanks love you all!

    Jambo Lindsay,

That means hello in Swahili!  You certainly picked a wonderful resort to be spending several days enjoying. While all the Disney resort properties are magical, the Animal Kingdom Lodge is a destination unto itself.

The pools are amazing and I am sure your kids will love spending time splashing around.  During the day, there are scheduled pool parties and fun games to participate in.  Beyond spending time viewing the animals, (which you will want to do a lot of) there are daily Cultural Immersions, Animal Programs, Culinary Explorations and Children's Activities.  Some of our favorites have been listening to the African folktales, doing the night-vision animal viewing, and decorating cookies at Boma-Flavors of Africa. (Events subject to availability.)  When you check-in at the resort, you will be given an activity sheet showing the current events and their schedule so your family can begin planning the fun immediately. Be sure to also request the "Hidden Mickey Safari" sheet -- a fun family scavenger hunt for the illusive Mickey's hidden around the property.  This is a great game to play anytime you are wandering through the resort.

The number of special events and activities the Animal Kingdom Lodge has to offer is amazing! Your family will have a wonderful time.  Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with as you prepare for your magical adventure.

    Pixie Dusted Fun Awaits,
