what is the best weeks/times of year with the lower crowds?

    Hello Stephanie,

It sounds as if you have begun to think about planning a Walt Disney World vacation. Deciding on your travel dates is one of the most important decisions in the planning process. So, you have come to the right place. I would love to offer my suggestions to you.

Traveling to the Disney Parks during non-peak seasons typically mean lower crowd levels. Peak seasons often refer to times of the year that have the most crowds due to either a holiday or school break. However, keep in mind that no one can ever predict exactly every situation that could produce high crowd levels. Generally speaking, though, if you steer clear of spring or fall break for schools, summer time and the Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks, crowds are often at a moderate or low level.

Here are some of my personal recommendations. Mid to late January offers milder weather and lower crowds as many have just finished traveling for the holidays. The last couple of weeks in May, prior to Memorial Day is a nice time since this is close to summer but before most of the schools let out for summer break. Then, mid to late September is when most schools have gone back after Labor Day, but the fall breaks in October have not begun. However, September can still be quite hot and humid. Lastly, the week after Thanksgiving through the first week of December is a nice time to visit as the holiday decorations are up but the busy travel season has not yet begun.

I hope this offers some variety of dates to consider based on what works best for your family. Feel free to stop back by with more questions. We would love to offer our assistance in other areas such as dining or resort recommendations.
