Welcome to planDisney Jeffrey!
How great is that feeling when you exit the plane at the Orlando Airport! All you can do is put those Mickey Mouse ears on and get the party started!
You have several transportation options. If you want to make stops at a grocery store or have plans off property during your vacation, you might want to look at a rental car. Make sure to book in advance and shop around for the best price. There are
overnight parking charges at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge so factor in that additional cost.
Another option is a shuttle service such as Mears Connect or the Sunshine Flyer. Both of these companies provide round trip service and can be booked directly on their websites.
If you don't want to do too much planning ahead, you can grab a taxi at the airport by following the Ground Level Transportation signs. You might also simply go on your Uber or Lyft app and hire a car when you arrive.
So what is the best way? That is up to you! If you plan to rely solely on Disney Transportation once you arrive at Wilderness Lodge, then Mears Connect is probably the easiest. Personally, I am a big user of Uber, so I usually just call for a car upon arrival so they can take me straight to my resort without waiting.
Do a bit of research on pricing and see what will work best for you and your travel party. Whatever you choose, enjoy your stay at the beautiful Wilderness Lodge. While there, book a
dining reservation for the
Whispering Canyon Cafe, one of my very favorite restaurants!
Enjoy!
