Hi Ingrid!
Welcome back to planDisney.
Thank you for sending us this question. Wherever we are heading around Walt Disney World Resort, there is always at least one method of
Disney transport to take us there. Let's talk through the options for you.
At Disney Springs you'll find a bus to take you to every Disney Resort hotel, so it's very straightforward making your way to Disney's BoardWalk Inn. The bus service between Disney Springs and Disney Resort hotels operates during Disney Springs hours, up to one hour after closing. The bus stops are located between Town Center and West Side, behind the stores (between the Coca-Cola Store and Kate Spade New York).
This map of Disney Springs will help you find your bearings.
From Disney's BoardWalk Inn, you need to take a bus to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort via any theme park or Disney Springs. I would go to Magic Kingdom Park, then transfer to a boat to Disney's Fort Wilderness, taking you across Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake with great views of the Magic Kingdom Resort hotels along the way. It probably takes around 12 minutes, once you have set sail.
If you have limited time, I recommend taking a Lyft rideshare from Disney's BoardWalk Inn directly to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. I have used Lyft many times and have found them to be reliable and reasonably inexpensive. You'll need to download the Lyft app to your phone, where you can see the availability of various vehicles and respective prices.
If you fancy travelling in style, the
Disney Minnie Vans can also be booked by using the Lyft app. You'll see them driving around the Resort - you can't miss them with their distinctive red and white livery!
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions, and you can
send me a direct question if you wish. We are always happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!
