What is the best way to get to the Storytellers Cafe from Disney's California Adventure? I have a reservation at the restaurant, but am not staying at the Grand Californian hotel. Reservation is for noon but we are planning to be at parks around 9 am.

Greetings, Brianna, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so excited for your Thanksgiving adventures at the Happiest Place on Earth! You’re going to love celebrating the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.

I’m happy to report that getting to Storytellers Cafe from Disney California Adventure Park is actually very convenient, since the theme park has a private entrance to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The entrance to the Grand Californian is located just across from Grizzly River Run, and is exclusive to hotel Guests; however, since you have a reservation to dine at Storyteller’s Cafe, you’ll be allowed to use it. Simply pass through the turnstiles for your noon reservation, then turn right when you get to the pathway. Make your next left, and Storytellers Cafe will be on your right-hand side, just across from the Pools at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa

After your delicious Thanksgiving feast, be sure to check out the lobby of the Grand Californian… it’s beautifully decorated for the holiday season. Don’t miss the gigantic gingerbread house, too!

Last but not least, don’t forget to stop by and see Santa Claus, either in the lobby of the Grand Californian, or inside Disney California Adventure Park. The backdrop at Santa’s Holiday Visit at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is my favorite spot for a family photo -- it’s simply magical!

Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving visit to the Disneyland Resort, Brianna!

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 8, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
