What are the best ways to experience Disney’s seasonal events or holiday celebrations?

Hi Elizabeth! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for sending us your question! I'm always happy to help a fellow Coloradan!

It's so hard to choose my favorite time of the year to visit The Happiest Place on Earth, because it's always so much fun! I have been lucky to have visited during Valentine's Day, the Fourth of July, Halloween Time, Thanksgiving week, and the Holidays. When planning a visit during a seasonal time or holiday, there are several things I do to prepare.

First, I always plan to visit the theme parks for at least three days. Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will have decorations for the holiday, making for fun photo ops, and it's the perfect way to capture the memories you will make. You can find Disney PhotoPass photographers throughout the theme parks. Another great way to experience seasonal times of the year and holidays is to plan to ride attractions that will have seasonal changes, also known as overlays. I also love enjoying seasonal entertainment offerings like A Christmas Fantasy Parade!

My favorite way to take full advantage of a holiday visit is to check out the food and beverage offerings before I arrive. The Disneyland culinary team knows how to create some amazing seasonal sips and bites, and they are very creative! You can find foodie guides and more on the Disney Eats topics page on the Disney Parks Blog website

I hope this information helps with your planning. If you have more planning questions, please stop by planDisney again. We can't wait for you to be our guest, and we would love to help!

    Wishing you magic,
    Lisa
