What are the best ways to get from AK to The Contemporary and 1900 fare? How long will each take? Thanks! We will be there in early May.

    Hi Kelly!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You can use the Complimentary Resort Transportation busses to get from Disney's Animal Kingdom to both Disney's Contemporary Resort and 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Simply use the transportation sign at the front of the bus depot to find the correct stop for the resort you are traveling to and wait there for your bus. We have found that it takes on average 15-20 minutes for your bus to arrive, depending on the crowd volumes and time of day you are waiting. I would allow 60 minute total transportation time from the theme park to the hotels, more if your family is towards the back of the park. If you are traveling between Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Contemporary Resort, you can use the Resort Monorail. Just hop on the monorail at one resort and hop off at your destination. I have found that trip takes 10-15 minutes depending on crowd levels that day. If you are traveling to a dining reservation, I would allow extra time so you can arrive 15 minutes prior to your reservation, as recommended.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with as you get ready for your trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
