What is the best way to get to the park from the airport?

Hi there, Lisa. Welcome to planDisney!

As Mickey Mouse would say, "Oh, boy!" You are just days away from entering Walt Disney's magical world, where you can sail with pirates, explore a haunted mansion, and go on a safari. I'm so excited for you!

Lisa, as an out-of-state Annual Passholder, I often find myself flying into the Orlando Airport. While I wish I could make my way to the magic on a flying elephant, magic carpet, or even a quick hyperdrive on the Millennium Falcon, I've found that a car or bus service works best. I'm happy to help you get all your Donald Ducks in a row before you make your way to The Most Magical Place on Earth!

If you want to head to your Resort hotel first, Mears Connect is the bus service that I use. Although I can't provide a direct link, you can easily find their website with a quick internet search. This service is also great for larger groups, as it allows you to travel together. To use Mears Connect, visit their website to book and pay for your trip in advance. After you land at the airport and collect your luggage, follow the instructions provided in your confirmation email to find the bus. Keep in mind that the buses make stops at several different Resort hotels, so it may take some time to reach your destination. I've always found their buses to be safe and clean, and the drivers are incredibly friendly.

Most often, I use a ride-sharing service like Lyft. While the cost may be slightly higher than other options, I enjoy the ease and convenience. The benefit of using a ride-share service is that I reach my Resort hotel or the parks quickly since this service does not make several different stops.

Of course, you also have the option of renting your own car at the airport.

Lisa, I just returned home from Walt Disney World last weekend and I'm so eek-cited that you'll get to see all the fun Halloween decorations! I hope you also have time to try some of the spooky foods available around the parks! While I was there, I visited Disney Springs and tried the Frankenstein Cookie at Gideon's Bakehouse and the Alien Invader Sliders at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar. They were dead-lightful!

Lisa, I know you have plans to make, so I'll sign off, but I want to wish you a truly magical vacation! Please visit us anytime! Here at planDisney, we are Guests, just like you, and helping you plan for the magic is our favorite thing to do!

    Safe travels and magical fun!
