Hey there, Emily and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We're elated to help you with your Disney planning.
During our stays at Walt Disney World, I've noticed that the transportation system tends to begin their daily operations a bit earlier than advertised. If the
Magic Kingdom is set to open at 9am that morning, the website states that transportation begins an hour before, just as you mentioned. However, I've seen the buses, ferry, and Monorail begin operation as early as 2 hours before the parks officially open. I would suggest to leave your Orlando area resort in time to get to the Ticket and Transportation Center by 7am. Once at the Ticket and Transportation Center, Cast Members will be nearby to direct you to either the
Monorail, bus or ferry. If one of those modes of transportation has not begun, they can direct you on how to get to the Magic Kingdom there. However, I'm pretty confident that one of those will be in operation and get you to The Magic Kingdom in time for your breakfast.
Another idea would be to take a taxi, Uber, or Lyft. These car service companies will drop you off at the Magic Kingdom entrance near the bus stops, which bypasses the Transportation and Ticket Center and the concern about operation times. These services cost an additional fee and Uber and Lyft must be reserved through their mobile app.
Emily, I hope this helps a bit but if you find that you have more questions, please stop by and visit with us again soon.
