What would be the best way to get to the International Gateway at Epcot at rope drop from Old Key West?

Hello Christina! Thank you for visiting planDisney with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! I’d be happy to help you plan your morning at EPCOT

Getting to EPCOT's International Gateway entrance for rope drop is a great way to start your day, especially if you want to explore World Showcase and head straight to some of the most popular attractions like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure or Frozen Ever After.

From Disney's Old Key West Resort, one of the best and most enjoyable ways to get to EPCOT’s International Gateway is by taking a Minnie Van Service, which is operated by Lyft. Minnie Vans offer a direct ride in style to the Theme Parks and nearby Disney Resorts Collection hotels, where you can enjoy breakfast or coffee before your stroll over to EPCOT.

My recommendation is to order a Minnie Van to drop you off at Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, or Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. Each of these resorts is just a short, scenic walk to the International Gateway entrance, making arriving at EPCOT right as it opens super easy!

While at these resorts, here are a few great spots to grab a coffee and a quick breakfast. You can check out Beach Club Marketplace at Disney's Beach Club Resort for coffee, pastries, and grab-and-go options. They have delicious croissants, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, and Mikey-shaped Waffles to fuel you up for the day. Similarly, at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, be sure to swing by The Market at Ale & Compass for a warm cup of coffee and a variety of tasty breakfast options, including fresh fruit, yogurt, and pastries. Across the water, at Disney's BoardWalk Inn, you’ll find Carousel Coffee. It’s a perfect spot to pick up a quick bite. My favorite coffee drink at Disney World is the Shakerato, a double espresso with vanilla served over ice! The perfect pick-me-up to start my day!

Christina, don’t forget that if you’ve purchased a Resort Refillable Mug, you can also bring it along to any of these resorts and enjoy complimentary coffee or soft drinks refills as you go. It’s a great way to keep you caffeinated for a long day walking around the world (showcase).

I hope this answers your question, Christina. If you have any other questions or need more tips on planning your visit to The Most Magical Place On Earth, feel free to reach out.

    See you real soon,
