Hi Charlotte and welcome to planDisney!
First of all, can I just say that
Caribbean Beach Resort is such a great choice of hotel. Its lush landscapes and vibrant colours provide a relaxed paradise vibe. That, coupled with its fantastic Spanish fort themed pool with waterslide and access to the
Disney Skyliner, make it one of my family's favourite places to stay.
Going back to your question, the good news is, Charlotte, that travelling around Walt Disney World couldn't be easier using Disney's complimentary
Resort Transportation which begins operating 45 minutes prior to Disney theme park opening time and up to 1 hour after Disney theme park closing time. Additionally, buses operate until 11:00 PM from the Disney Springs area.
The easiest way of getting from Caribbean Beach Resort to the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, using Disney's complimentary Resort transportation, would probably be to take a
bus from your Resort hotel to the Magic Kingdom and then once you have arrived there, transfer to either a
water taxi, or, Resort
monorail, heading over to the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
If you wanted to use the Disney Skyliner, you could take that mode of transport from your Resort hotel to Hollywood Studios and then transfer to a bus, heading to the
Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
No matter which route you decide to take, I would highly recommend allowing at least an hour, for the journey.
Top Tip - It is possible to view routes and stop locations for various modes of transportation—including buses, monorails and water taxis on the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. Just click on the "☰" in the bottom right-hand corner of the home page and scroll down to "Transportation & Parking" in the "Getting Around" section.
Finally, for speed and convenience you do also have the option of using a ride-share service (such as Uber or Lyft) to pick you up from your Resort hotel and take you directly to the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Although there would be a charge for using this service, sometimes, when it's first thing in a morning, or, later in the evening when legs are weary from a day at the Theme Parks, my family feel that it is worth paying a little extra, to reduce travelling time.
I hope that this has answered your question, Charlotte and that you have the most brilliant time when you visit Walt Disney World, next year. In the meantime, if we can be of any further help with the planning of your trip, please feel free to re-visit us, here at planDisney.
Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
