What is the best way to get to Epcot from magic kingdom and how long does it take? We have 2:50 character dining at Epcot but we will be at magic kingdom before then.

    Welcome Home, Edwin!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so happy you decided to send us your awesome question about Walt Disney World Resort complimentary transportation.

There are multiple ways of getting to Epcot from Magic Kingdom Park, but by far the easiest is by using the Walt Disney World Resort Monorail System. Below I will detail the two ways of using the Monorail to go from Magic Kingdom Park to Epcot:

    1. Take the Monorail from Magic Kingdom Park to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Transfer to the Epcot Monorail.

    2. Take a water launch (also know as a water taxi) from Magic Kingdom Park to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Transfer to the Epcot Monorail.

Both of these options take approximately 30 minutes. Because of unforeseen delays, security checks, etc. I advise that Guests always allow at least an hour and a half to travel from Magic Kingdom Park to Epcot. Please keep in mind that you will need to pass security and enter the theme park to make your way to your Character Dining reservation.

Edwin, I hope I have helped answer your question. If you need any further clarification please do not hesitate to visit me again! I would love to help sprinkle your Walt Disney World Resort vacation with extra Pixie Dust.

    Wishing you a Magical Vacation,
