Hey, Jessica!
I'm so glad you stopped by with your question. I love figuring out the best way to get from A to B at Walt Disney World Resort. Adventure it out there!
Assuming you want to take complimentary Disney transportation, I would take the bus from
Disney's Pop Century Resort to
Magic Kingdom Park. You can then walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort in about 10/15 minutes (depending on your speed). If you are totally against walking, you can take the
monorail. However, you'll have to go through a security checkpoint to do so. By the time you do this, wait for the monorail, board the monorail, and then travel to
Disney's Contemporary Resort, you'll probably wish you had walked. But maybe time is not an issue for you and so you'll really enjoy the experience of taking the monorail. My kids absolutely love it (as do I). There's nothing quite like entering Disney's Contemporary Resort via the monorail. If you want a quicker option and don't mind the added expense, you can also take a
Minnie Van or an Uber/Lyft.
Whatever you choose to do, I'm sure you'll have a terrific time. There are lots of fantastic restaurants at Disney's Contemporary Resort, such as Chef Mickey's, Steakhouse 71, and my personal favorite, California Grill. Make sure you take some time to admire the giant mural found in the Grand Canyon concourse. Fun fact: The artist who created this mural, Mary Blair, also designed the beautiful art in the
"it's a small world" attraction.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Jessica. See ya real soon!
Mike
