What is the best water park for our 17 month old son? Will Typhoon or Blizzard have more appropriate toddler areas? Thank you, Karen.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Karen!

Karen, I’m so happy to hear you are planning a visit to one of the Walt Disney World Resort’s World-Class water parks. You are going to have a splashtastic time!

I remember the first time I visited Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon with my son, and he was about the same age as your little guy. We were so excited to see him having as much fun as we were! Karen, you are going to love Ketchakiddee Creek, the super fun water play area for tykes 48in or shorter that is packed with fun and has 10 different aquatic activities. My guy loved the mini-rapids where he giggled all the way down in the adorable tiny inner tube.

Over at Disney’s Blizzard Beach, you will also find a wonderful play area geared towards preschoolers with pint-sized slides and all the fun in the sun that Disney can deliver. Tike's Peak will bring all the cool vibes for the tiniest tykes in its polar-themed aquatic fun-filled spot.

You are going to have an amazing time at either park you choose, but if I can offer a tie-breaker, I would suggest visiting Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. Earlier this year, this park debuted the longest slide in Disney’s Water Park history. Be sure to bring the entire family along to Miss Adventure Falls and make a splash in this super-fun waterslide adventure.

I hope you have a magically cool time at Disney’s Water Parks. Come back and see us again soon. ~Emille
